I'm 41 today!

Yes, today is my 41st birthday. It is not too much different then turning 40. I spent the day with family and friends. First me and the four younger kids picked up my parents and we had brunch at Bob's Big Boy then we went shopping where we met up with my cousin Dana and her daughter Jenna. We did dinner with Jerree, Kendall, Matthew, and Frankie at Claim Jumper, THEN met up with Jennifer and Karen for dessert at CPK for chocolate souffle cake a la mode. YUMMY!! I guess tomorrow I won't eat!
These pictures are of the ginormous balloon Jerree brought to Claim Jumper and Kirstie decorated the plate for me! Thank you everyone!

My birthday dessert at Claim Jumper!

I only ate the Oreo crust from this dessert. I had to save room for the chocolate souffle cake from CPK.

2 sick girls...

Hannah and Avery Rose are sick!! When one of my kids are sick it throws everything off let alone when two are down.
Hannah has croup and Avery Rose is vomiting. Big bummer!!
Hopefully it won't go through the house and hopefully it won't last too long and hopefully they will be able to go to school tomorrow for their Valentine parties.
I just had to post these two pictures of my sick girls. I love the one of Avery Rose with her vomit bowl on her head!! By the way, that is not lettuce sticking out of the bowl, it is a green washcloth.

Thank God!

All of my kids are safe under my roof!!
Christina and Hannah left the church parking lot at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. They hit lots of snow and ice and for some reason the bus drivers were not prepared. After sliding around on the roads hitting a wall of snow, waiting hours for snow chains, then more hours for replacement set because one broke, they finally arrived at camp at 3:30 A.M. The poor kids were stuck on the bus for 11 hours!! Well, they did stop breifly for lunch. It snowed the whole weekend and they did have a blast. Fast forward to Sunday when they are supposed to drive home. They forcasted snow and for some reason they tried to drive the mountain. BAD CALL!!! A bus in front of them broke down and they got stuck behind for 9 hours before they decided to call it and go back to the camp for one more night. This morning they left camp at 9:30 and arrive at the church at 3:30. Let's add that up- 11 plus 9 plus 6 = 26 hours on the bus!!! Needless to say they are beyond exhausted and at 7:41 p.m. they are all in bed sleeping!

Avery Rose's trip didn't have near that much drama but she had a blast too!! Dina was her counselor and there was a lot snow. They went sledding, hiked to get milkshakes, and played lots of games. She got home right about the time the New England Patriots were kicking off, but I did get to see the rest of the game!

I ran out of the house when Christina called to say that they were getting close and I forgot the camera, but here a couple of Avery Rose. The first is right before she got on the bus and the second is coming off the bus after a fun weekend.

Something cool!

OK, so it is no surprise to anyone what a big Dodger fan I am. I have no idea howI became such a big baseball and football fan. The only sport my dad watched was roller derby and my brothers could have cared less about any sport. As a little girl I would beg my dad to take me to Dodger games, so he would take me and my friend, Claudia, and we would sit in the left field pavillion in the top left corner and he would buy us Dodger dogs and chocolate malts. To this day I still love the flat wooden spoons! When I was 16 I was a huge L.A. Raider fan and they made it to the playoffs, with home field advantage, so I told my parents I didn't want anything else for Christmas except for Raider playoff tickets. I wasn't driving yet so they dropped me and my friend off at the Coliseum for the game. Well, they won that game and were going to play the next weekend so I begged my parent once again ( I did a lot of begging as a child) and asked them to buy me tickets to that playoff game and they did. SO, they dropped me and my brother off at the Coliseum and we got to see them win again!! They went on to win the Superbowl that year and I was really happy!! My extra bonus was the Marcus Allen was the MVP. I had the biggest crush on him!!!

OK, so back to baseball!!! The other day at Dodger stadium they had the "Select-A-seat" event for season ticket holders. It is an opportunity to possibly get better seats. ANYWAY, I got to sit in the dugout!! That was VERY exciting for me!! Even cooler is that Bob took my picture!! See, this is why I don't go anywhere with out my camera!
